Well known and approximately 30 years old, the current site of the Clive Booth Student Village usually houses circa 600 students. With the granted planning of this refurbishment, the buildings themselves can expect to be modernised and the current pedestrian walkways are going to be replaced with a far more effect route to connect the site with other areas of Oxford Brookes University.
Walker Modular will be providing the Bathroom Pods for this venture, which aims to provide homes for an additional 500 plus students on the site and by doing so, free up private rented accommodation in Oxford back to the residential market. Furthermore, the site will accommodate those with families and/or disabilities effectively, offering all students the convenience of living on campus regardless of situation.
All in all this scheme should harmonise effectively with the woodlands surrounding it, and aid an already vibrant student community as it grows.
