PRS Dandara

Dandara creates award-winning new homes to buy and rent throughout the UK, and its private rented sector programme is an example of the growth in the PRS market. Dandara requested an elegant bathroom pod design to complement its high-end approach, and Walker Modular's steel bathroom pod solution fitted the developments with bespoke designs and luxurious finishes.

A team of specialists was assigned to the project, with skills across product design, technical development and project management. The first task was to create a cold rolled steel bathroom pod that could be manufactured in volume to facilitate the rapid speed of build envisaged by the contractor.

The frames were manufactured and Walker Modular began supplying bathroom pods in July 2017 at a rate of approximately 30 per week, delivering all 3,078 pods on time and in full for Arena Central Birmingham, Chapel Wharf Salford and Sweet Street Leeds.

At 3,078 bathroom pods across three city centre developments, the Dandara programme remains one of the largest private rented sector deliveries in Walker Modular's track record, and an early demonstration of sustained volume supply to a single residential client.
