Description

Market Street will see the redevelopment of Northumbria Police’s old headquarters in Newcastle’s city centre. The proposed redevelopment of the former police station in Market Street, consists of 275 beds (177 beds and 48 studios). The development is located in the city centre of Newcastle with easy access to university campuses, local facilities and public transport it is well positioned for student accommodation. Walker Modular will provide Bathroom Pods for this development which will be to create a 10-storey student accommodation block with communal and ancillary facilities such as cycle storage, laundry, management office and a landscaped courtyard. The development is anticipated to be completed in 2018 and will improve the local townscape with a new building of high quality design.
