Walker Modular to supply 1,000 bathroom pods for major Canary Wharf PBSA development

A £237 million funding deal has paved the way for construction of a major new purpose-built student accommodation development at 30 Marsh Wall, Canary Wharf, London.

Tide Construction is delivering the 48-storey scheme for Vita Group, with the development set to provide 1,068 student beds. Demolition at the site has been completed and construction is now ready to progress, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals, with completion currently targeted for 2028.

Walker Modular has been selected to provide approximately 1,000 bespoke bathroom pods for the development.

The bathroom pods have been specifically developed for Vita Group and will use Walker Modular's seamless bathroom pod construction, combining the benefits of factory-controlled manufacture with a premium, high-quality finish.

The specification includes a seamless bathroom enclosure designed to reduce the risk of water escape, antibacterial wall surfaces, bespoke bathroom furniture and a real tiled feature wall, creating a high-end bathroom suitable for one of London's major new student accommodation developments.

Manufacturing the bathrooms within Walker Modular's controlled factory environment will provide the project with consistent quality, repeatability and detailed quality assurance throughout production.

The 30 Marsh Wall development represents another significant PBSA project for Walker Modular and further strengthens the company's position as a manufacturing partner for large-scale student accommodation schemes across the UK.
