University Of Sussex- East Slopes

The current East Slope estate was built in the 1970s and the new development plans would see a complete rebuild of new student housing blocks, resulting in an additional 1,400 bedrooms. Alongside this, a new building for the Students’ Union will create new social and retail spaces for students to enjoy, as well as a new office for the Union. The development of a new state-of-the-art building aims to transform the working practices of the School by increasing the opportunities for the students. Redeveloping East Slope will provide about 1,400 extra bedrooms, which will help to accommodate the projected increases in student numbers. The first phase is envisaged to be complete by the 2017-18 academic year and Walker Modular will provide all Bathroom Pods for this development.
