Cardiff welcomes this 24-storey block of student flats in which the building would house 463 new students by 2018. This is a corner plot bound by Bridge Street, Charles Street and Wesley Lane. The proposed site is behind Chapel 1877 and incorporates frontage of some of the houses on Charles Street standing at 24 storeys, the building could be one of many new tall buildings to be proposed in Cardiff. Cardiff is ready also to facilitate taller buildings within its urban framework and it is believed that the city will benefit from a new vibrancy and richness which can come from a well-designed tall building. Walker Modular will provide all Bathroom Pods for this development in which the development comprises a variety of cluster flats and studio apartments. The block includes communal space, 24 hour reception, laundry facilities and enclosed secure cycle storage. The scheme will be delivered in August 2018, in advance of the 2018/19 academic year.
