The story
Walker Modular's role on Walker Modular bathroom pods for Merrion Way, Leeds.
The scheme will include the development of a 928-bed student accommodation build which is located on Merrion Way in the city centre and is close to both the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University. Walker Modular supply all Bathroom Pods for this build which will aim to accommodate the demand for quality and affordable student accommodation.
Work consists of the demolition of the former casino and pub currently on the land and the construction of two towers, measuring 15 and 27 storeys, respectively. These would provide a total of 928 student beds with a mixture of studios and cluster flats.
A total of 14,400 sq. ft. of amenity space would be created for students, together with bicycle storage. Leeds is a thriving city with excellent universities and Walker Modular look forward to being a part of this development which is expected to be open for the 2020 academic year.
