Walker Modular's role on Walker Modular bathroom pods for Travelodge - Lombard Street, Newark.
This £6.6m project is to transform a derelict hotel in Nottinghamshire into a new Travelodge Hotel. The scheme at the former Robin Hood Hotel in Lombard Street, Newark, is expected to be completed by the summer of 2021 and include 66 bedrooms.
There will also be three leisure units, possibly a gym, café and restaurant, built on the site. Walker Modular will provide all Bathroom Pods for this scheme with the overall aim to help provide the overnight accommodation to boost the local economy, support local businesses and growing tourism.
The development will be a major boost for jobs, the local economy, visitor numbers to the district, town centre footfall and help redress the shortage of hotel accommodation in the Newark area.
