Description

Following a change in facilities back in 2010, the site of the Former Tynecastle High School has laid dormant for over a decade. Now, the site is set to become a student accommodation campus which will successfully house around 400 students. Walker Modular will be manufacturing the Bathroom Pods for the development, which will include several newly built structures and a refurbishment of what was once the original school hall to create an exciting new amenity hub. As well as breathing life back into the original listed school building, the courtyard is set to have a large amount of landscaping done, offering green space for both residents and the public to enjoy alike. All in all, the development offers a refreshing use for the old property, honouring the existing historical buildings whilst offering modern facilities for the students.
